JANUARY 19th, 2019
The Well Crafted One-Day (formerly “Delight”) is a creative Pop- Up retreat for women. We are a departure from the conference vibe; this is distinctly a retreat, with a calculated purpose. Expect beautiful surroundings, approachable art workshops, and inspiring teaching. Feel treasured and be given the margin to dream anew the kind of space you wish to have in the upcoming year, both heart and home.
On January 19, 2019, we’re bringing the Well Crafted One-Day to the gorgeous destination of Chestnut Ridge in Canton, NC (30 minutes west of Asheville)! Guaranteed: your jaw will drop as you approach the venue, your seat will be saved with a beautiful nametag, and your heart will be ready to claim new ground. In addition to the lovely lunch included in your ticket cost, you will have the opportunity to participate in two different art workshops as well as the other components of this full day retreat.

Candlelit Dinner Option
Brand new for 2019: we are extending the day to conclude with a candlelit dinner! One of the signature elements and most loved parts of our full weekend experience (formerly the Draw Near Retreat) is our evening meal on Friday night, and we want to offer this special element to our One-Day gals.
Imagine the most beautiful dining room you’ve ever encountered, surrounded by mountains and rolling hills. Your reservation is made, and you take your seat next to a girlfriend you’ve known for years or a gal you just met that morning--you decide. You take a few minutes just to absorb the environment, because it was made for you. Dinner is served, and it is delicious of course, but hold your breath for more; this is a Well Crafted event after all.
One-Day Workshops At Chestnut Ridge
Dana Hartness of Happy Little Lovelies
Dana Hartness of Happy Little Lovelies first graced us with her heart and talent at our 2018 fall weekend retreat, where we fell in love with her pieces. She recently released her leather + clay collection which may just be our favorite! While handcrafting your very own piece, you will master some new jewelry making skills, all while getting to play with Dana’s beautiful materials.
When Dana’s not creating in her shop, you can catch her thrifting whenever she can, planning fake trips, decorating her house, and sipping on something delicious. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and four children.
Kelly Pelfrey of Kelly Pelfrey Art
Kelly Pelfrey is a long time friend of the house and a natural teacher. With the recent release of her “Home Collection”, Kelly is perfectly suited to bring us this abstract painting workshop. Here you’ll create your very own original: an anthem and proclamation over your home. Prepare to withdraw from the world, reflect on your home, and create something beautiful, all within the span of two hours.
Kelly holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina, and has spent much of her career teaching art to children. Together with her husband and three children, she calls Columbia, South Carolina home.
Morgan lives in Asheville, NC with her husband Mikey and their dog Lucy. She has been leading worship at retreats and church gatherings for 10 years, as well as writing custom spoken word poetry.
She loves exploring ways that words and songs can be an avenue for someone to engage with God in a personal way. Whether it be through spoken word, music or studying scripture, she is deeply passionate about seeing people come awake to God’s presence.
Brittany is a Texas girl living among the cornfields of Illinois. She has served the church from Seattle to the midwest, where she is currently the Communication Director at Stone Creek Church. Regardless of location or occupation, her heart is for all to know that there is more. Through music and creativity, she desires to create spaces where people can encounter the presence of God.
Brittany has been singing with her sister, Morgan, since the 90's when they were singing Amy Grant’s “Grown Up Christmas List” in pajamas on their karaoke cassette player.
